Video Journalism in action

14 02 2011

Dear World VJ followers – my first ever video upload. I covered the Oxford Library anti-cuts readi-in and the author Philip Pullman was there to do his bit. Need to work on the technical stuff though. It took me eight hours of randomly hitting the keys on the keyboard and the event I covered was already on the evening news by the time I was online.

As an experiment I also loaded a short clip of my dog to see if Evgeny Morozov is barking up the wrong tree.

The library is currently on 31 views and jessie the wonderdog is only on 20 so I think that’s a good result for both democracy and online activism.

I’ll go into the details of what worked and what didn’t soon.
